Gamma Beta Fraternity
Texas Tech University
Congrats Gamma Class!
History
Gamma Beta Fraternity, Inc. is an Asian-American interest fraternity that was established Spring of 2000 at The University of Texas at Austin. In fall of 2008, Gamma Beta successfully expanded to Texas Tech University. Gamma Beta is dedicated to the betterment of men through brotherhood, academics, and community service. Gamma Beta is one of the fastest growing Asian-American interest fraternities in Texas and continues to set new standards of excellence on its respective campuses.
Since its inception in the Spring of 2000, Gamma Beta was founded on the principles of morality, discipline, responsibility, unity, and academic excellence. At the time, the nine founders had no idea that what they would begin would become a phenomenon on the campus of the University of Texas at Austin. Not until a month before the fall semester began did the founders decide to try to start a new fraternity rather than a social club. The goal of Gamma Beta's founders was to find a fraternity that would unite the Asian American community and provide an outlet for individuals seeking to join a Greek organization based on a manly code of ethics.
Above all else, our first priority in the founding of Gamma Beta was to create a family environment where men of any color, creed, ethnic or religious background could join and feel welcome, where they could find a home away from home. And since our beginnings we have always remembered our roots, our values and the core of our beliefsthe creation of an unprecedented brotherhood.
As of now, The Gamma Beta Fraternity has successfully expanded to 5 other universities, including Texas Tech University. Filled with the desire for something new, 6 men sought to bring a different type of brotherhood to campus.

The brothers of gamma beta have upheld a long tradition of excellence, believing that a small active house and strict selections process will lead to better bonds within the fraternity. The founders did not encourage a chapter outside of the university of Texas at austin. After 7 years of hard work , continual success, and growth, our doors have finally opened for the possibilities of expansion.
Selection of a founding class on your campus will follow our usual standards, and after a thorough review of your group's expansion declaration, you may receive a letter of approval. Upon accepting your offer to start the expansion process, Gamma Beta's host chapter will assist you in your process of becoming a recognized Affiliate.
For those that are interested in expanding gamma beta to their campus, please feel free to contact us for more information. we wish you luck upon your decision and hope to see you 'Good men become Better.'
